What We Do:

Every October, in the heart of New York City, we empower and inspire the next generation of talented filmmakers offering:

  • Hundreds of student film screenings

  • The nation’s largest film school college fair (with 30+ schools participating annually)

  • An interactive technology showcase featuring hands-on engagement with the latest technology

  • Networking parties promoting student collaboration

  • Industry professional panels and workshops hosted by university professors and established professionals

  • Our on-site Film Invitational competitions (teams from around the world producing films in New York City)

  • Our formal Teen Indie Awards Show, where in 2022 we presented over $600,000 in prizes and scholarships

In addition, we support our community with year-round initiatives including:

  • Regional  Crave Arts Film Invitational competitions

  • A comprehensive Video Production Resource Community curriculum for educators

  • Our Traveling Roadshow Presentations featuring peer-to-peer, immersive education presented at arts conferences such as The Student Television Network Convention and 15+ individual high schools

  • The popular “Future of Film” podcast, available on Apple and Spotify, is produced specifically for aspiring filmmakers and their educators, featuring monthly episodes focused on successful industry alumni

  • Each year we expand our film festival categories to include custom options providing real-world production opportunities focused on fueling our students’ passion for hyper-relevant issues such as: climate change, gender identity, social media, gun violence, cancer prevention, human rights, etc. These categories are sponsored by high profile partners such as AT&T, IMAX, Sony, Jostens, Refinery 29, The Brady Foundation, The Ad Council, End Distracted Driving, and more.

  • Free webinars hosted periodically by relevant brand partners and university programs including: Apple, IMAX, New York Film Academy, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Storyblocks, and Writerduet

  • Our filmmaking resource library is offered for free to our entire community and based on 11 years of work and collaborations including:  access to a music library, casting services and connections to knowledgeable alums and university professors that will help students advance their skills and educational growth.

  • Perhaps most importantly, we connect and foster a community of shared passions and lifelong relationships.
